To identify as an engaged MAN without having transitioned is overwhelming and takes its toll on a relationship.
Transitioning according to Wikipedia:
is the process of changing one’s gender presentation to accord with one’s internal sense of one’s gender - the idea of what it means to be a man or woman.[1] For transsexuals, this process will also involve sex reassignment therapy, and their new sex is “opposite” that of birth sex; for intersex people it is different from how they were raised; for genderqueer people it is neither solely female nor male. Cross-dressers and drag queens and drag kings tend not to transition, since their variant gender presentations are (usually) only adopted temporarily.
A lot of sacrifice, commitment, passions and love must be invested from BOTH individuals in the relationship to make the dynamic and passion grow and flourish.
Some questions I ask myself all the time:
- How does my beautiful fiance Krystal do it?
- How do I do it?
- How does society view this? Our families? Our friends?
- What’s our REALITY and what will our future hold?

Presley & Krystal, congrats on your 1st blog into Nuestra Vida (Our Lives)!!! I am so happy for the both of you going through this extraordinary journey together as a couple.
We have been raised in a society where it is considered taboo to be transgender, lesbian, gay, or whatever society see’s a human being as. And, that IS exactly who we are, HUMAN BEINGS who should be treated equally…..regardless.
Presley, you & I have pretty much grown up together even with some years in between of not always seeing each other, our families have always been very close. I consider you like my brother, even more so because you are my mothers godchild. Always keep your head up & stand up for what you believe in…..no matter what it may be. You are loved & respected by me who looks up to you as a ROCK.
